Book and pay online to apply for a Smart ID or renew your passport. Then visit one of our seven FNB branches with Department of Home Affairs (DHA) representation to complete the process.
Visit the DHA website (dha.gov.za), select 'Smart ID Card' and 'Apply Online Now'. Complete your registration, then approve your payment via the FNB App or Online Banking by selecting 'Pay', then 'Government Bills + Smart IDs'.
Log in to eHomeAffairs, select an FNB branch, then choose a date and time for your appointment.
Bring your original identity documents, such as your Green ID book, passport, or birth certificate.
You'll receive an SMS when your Smart ID or passport is ready for collection. Bring your original identity documents when collecting it.

Replace a lost, stolen, or damaged Smart ID at selected FNB branches. No appointment needed.
