If you have forgotten your Online Banking Login Details, you
can use this function outside of Online Banking to reset your
Username and/or Password.
- To view your Username – you will
need to know your Password .
- To reset your Password – you will
need to know your Username
- Alternatively, you can reset
both your Username and Password.
Username Rules:
- Your Username must contain 8 to
30 characters.
- Your Username may contain any
of the following attributes:
- A lower-case letter (a - z)
- An upper-case letter (A -Z)
- A number (0 - 9)
- A special character ( @ or
. )
Password Rules:
- Your password must contain 7 to
30 characters
- Your password must contain at
least 3 of the following attributes:
- A lower-case letter (a - z)
- An upper-case letter (A -
Z)
- A number (0 - 9)
- A special character ( ! @
# $ &)
- Your password may not contain
your Username.
- Your password may not be the same
as your previous 3 passwords.
Quick Tips for Resetting your Username and Password
(Pre-Login):
- You will need to enter your ID
or Passport Number.
- You will need to enter your Card
Number.
- You will need to authorise this
request using an OTP or via Smart inContact.
How to Reset your Username and Password (Pre-Login)
- Click on Forgot Username or Password
on the FNB home page.
- The Login Problems page will be
displayed.
- Select on Reset Username + Password.
- The Forgotten Your Username and
Password page will be displayed.
- Select the type of profile that
you would like to change your login details for, i.e. for
yourself or for your business.
- Enter your Card Number
- Enter your Card PIN.
- Enter your ID or Passport Number.
- Click on Continue.
- Enter a New Username.
- Select Password Visibility.
- Enter your New Password.
- Re-enter your new password to
Confirm it.
- Select Confirm.
- You will receive an OTP or Smart
inContact notification.
- A results page will display the
status of your request.
- Select Login to return to the
Login page for Online Banking.
